Set against the beautiful backdrop of a heritage-listed homestead, future residents were invited to spread out their picnic rugs and enjoy the gourmet food offered whilst listening to live music.
The event was a significant milestone for Parklea in shaping the estate’s future community, as it provided residents with the opportunity to meet their future neighbours and venture around the gardens at the historic homestead.
“Parklea strives to create communities, not just develop estates, so having events like the picnic day gives Kaduna Park residents an opportunity to meet and mingle with their neighbours, which creates a more welcoming and safer community for all,” Tammy Radford, Parklea Community Development Officer.
“It’s an exciting day welcoming all the new residents to Kaduna Park. For many new buyers, they have spent the past year or two planning the next part of their journey by choosing to purchase land at Kaduna Park,” she added.
“This event gives us an opportunity to help our residents learn more about the estate and get settled in. We are planning for more events like this in the future,” said Jarrod Mills, Parklea Sales and Marketing Manager.
Children had plenty of activities to enjoy, including jumping castles, pony rides, an animal farm and face painting. While pizza and crepe food trucks offered sweet and tasty relief from the hot summer sun.
Many residents expressed excitement about their next chapter. “We can’t wait to move in, we got to see the community we will be living in and meet our new neighbours,” said one enthusiastic resident.
Parklea is thrilled to have seen so many future residents, both children and adults alike, enjoy the picnic day and embrace the community spirit.
